Snoop Dogg and filmmaker Eli Roth are partnering on a new horror film titled Don’t Go In That House, Bitch!, according to Deadline. The project will be produced by Media Capital Technologies and The Horror Section.
The film is described as a slasher satire centered around the lives of a group of young Black friends whose weekend getaway takes a violent turn after they ignore the warnings of an older neighbor. Snoop Dogg will star as the neighbor—credited only as “The OG”—and is also producing the film alongside Roth.
Roth is directing from a script written by Halley Feiffer (American Horror Story, Roost) and Danny Matier (#FREERAYSHAWN). According to Deadline, the story plays with genre expectations and serves as a response to the frequent sidelining or quick deaths of Black characters in horror films.
Snoop Dogg is quoted as saying, “This film is for everyone who didn’t make it past the opening scene,” pointing to the larger cultural commentary behind the title and concept.
The film is scheduled to shoot in Atlanta this fall. No release date has been set yet.
