Supernatural Horror Film Evil Follows Heads to BloodStream and Digital Platforms on August 4
Independent horror fans will have a new possession nightmare to experience next month.
The Horror Collective and BloodStream have announced that writer-director Brendan Rudnicki’s supernatural horror film Evil Follows will premiere exclusively on BloodStream beginning August 4, alongside its transactional video-on-demand (TVOD) release.
Blending demonic possession with supernatural folklore, Evil Follows centers on Sarah, whose life spirals into terror after opening a mysterious dybbuk box containing an ancient evil. As the malevolent force tightens its grip and her possession grows increasingly violent, Sarah’s husband desperately searches for answers, teaming with a renowned spiritualist to uncover the cursed relic’s origins. But stopping the entity will require unimaginable sacrifices as Sarah edges closer to becoming its permanent vessel.
The film marks another collaboration between Rudnicki and The Horror Collective, a partnership the filmmaker says has become one of the most reliable in independent genre distribution.
“After working with numerous distributors over the years, I continue coming back to Studio Dome and The Horror Collective,” Rudnicki said. “Their communication, transparency, and the insight they provide through the Studio Dome dashboard are unmatched. More importantly, they genuinely care about independent horror and the filmmakers behind it. It’s always a pleasure working with Shaked and the entire team, and I’m excited to continue building our partnership with future releases.”
The Horror Collective and BloodStream CEO Shaked Berenson echoed that enthusiasm, praising Rudnicki’s growing body of horror work.
“We’ve worked with Brendan on releasing a number of his previous films, and we’re excited to continue to work with him on Evil Follows,” Berenson said. “His films have everything that horror fans want. He’s the real deal.”
The Horror Collective has built its reputation by championing independent genre filmmaking from emerging and established voices, while BloodStream continues to expand its streaming catalog with a curated lineup of horror, thrillers, cult favorites, and exclusive premieres designed specifically for genre audiences.
With its mix of possession horror, ancient folklore, and escalating psychological terror, Evil Follows looks to deliver another unsettling supernatural experience when it debuts exclusively on BloodStream and digital platforms on August 4.
