The shadows of Larkin, Texas crept all the way to Tribeca as the world premiere of MAN FINDS TAPE terrified audiences at the 2025 Tribeca Festival. Debuting Sunday night, the found-footage-inspired horror feature marks the striking directorial debut from longtime SXSW programmer Peter Hall and co-director Paul Gandersman.
Cast, crew, and genre fans packed the theater for a first look at the film, which blends small-town secrets, digital myth-making, and chilling nostalgia into one of the year’s most buzzworthy horror entries.
The red carpet was anything but quiet. Lead stars and filmmakers posed with eerie stills from the movie flashing behind them, teasing the mystery unraveling in Larkin, TX. The energy was equal parts excitement and unease—fitting for a film that questions memory, media, and the monsters we let grow too long in the dark.
Set in a fictional Texas town, MAN FINDS TAPE follows Lynn Page, a documentarian returning home after a cryptic call drags her back into the haunting legacy of her brother Lucas’ viral web series. What begins as a mystery about forgotten footage spirals into a confrontation with a creature that may be far more real than anyone dared to believe.
