Sims-Fewer & Mancinelli Reunite for a Sharp, Personal Story of Control, Memory, and Intimacy
Shudder has secured the North American rights to HONEY BUNCH, the latest feature from Madeleine Sims-Fewer and Dusty Mancinelli, ahead of its Toronto International Film Festival screening this month.
The film had its world premiere at Berlin, and will head to Fantastic Fest following its TIFF stop. Shudder will release the film in 2026 across the U.S., Australia, and New Zealand.
What It’s About
HONEY BUNCH follows Diana (played by Grace Glowicki) after she wakes from a coma. She remembers little, but her husband (Ben Petrie) insists on trying a new therapy at a remote facility. As the process unfolds, Diana becomes unsure of what’s real—and whether her husband is helping her or hiding something.
The cast also includes Jason Isaacs, Kate Dickie, India Brown, and Julian Richings. It was written and directed by Sims-Fewer and Mancinelli, whose previous film Violation was released by Shudder in 2021.
Rather than repeat themselves, the directors take a different route with Honey Bunch. It’s smaller in scope, focused on one relationship, and cuts into the quiet tensions of a failing marriage. There’s no shock twist—just slow, mounting doubt.
In their words:
“This is a love story that breaks down, not one that holds itself together.”
Distribution & Production
HONEY BUNCH is produced by Becky Yeboah, Sims-Fewer, and Mancinelli under Cat People, in partnership with Rhombus Media. It’s backed by XYZ Films and IPR.VC, with XYZ handling sales outside of Canada.
The deal was handled by Emily Gotto for Shudder, and Nate Bolotin and Pip Ngo for XYZ on behalf of the filmmakers.
