Tribeca Film Festival 24' Shudder presents "The Devils Bath"


SHUDDER DATES VERONIKA FRANZ AND SEVERIN FIALA'S PSYCHOLOGICAL THRILLER FOR JUNE 28TH FOLLOWING

NORTH AMERICAN PREMIERE AT TRIBECA FESTIVAL 2024


As we rev up our coverage on Tribeca 24' coming up in the next few months Shudder has released a news that the new Austrian film from auteurs Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala "The Devil's Bath". The film follows a lonely rural housewife and the evil thoughts she has that start to manifest into a her new found behavior. The Devils Bath celebrated their world premiere earlier this year at Berlinale 2024 and will be making its North American premiere at Tribeca Film Festival 2024. Shudder already has streaming rights for the film and plan on releasing it on June 28th of 2024.


Shudder, AMC Networks’ premium streaming service for horror, thriller and the supernatural, is proud to announce the streaming debut of THE DEVIL’S BATH, the highly anticipated film from Austrian horror auteurs Veronika Franz and Severin Fiala (GOODNIGHT MOMMY, THE LODGE), ahead of its North American premiere at the 2024 Tribeca Festival. The film celebrated its world premiere earlier this year at Berlinale 2024, and recently garnered eleven nominations for the 2024 Austrian Film Awards including Best Film. Shudder will release THE DEVIL’S BATH this Summer on June 28, 2024.


In 1750 Austria, a deeply religious woman named Agnes has just married her beloved, but her mind and heart soon grow heavy as her life becomes a long list of chores and expectations. Day after day, she is increasingly trapped in a murky and lonely path leading to evil thoughts, until the possibility of committing a shocking act of violence seems like the only way out of her inner prison. Giving a voice to the invisible and unheard women of the rural past; THE DEVIL’S BATH is based on historical court records about a shocking, hitherto unexplored chapter of European history.
