Vidiots Unveils October Lineup: Blade Blood Rave, Demon Knight Anniversary, and Mor

Vidiots brings horror and community to the Eagle Theatre this October with screenings of Blade, Demon Knight, Carrie, and a family-friendly Gentle Halloween.

The Vidiots Foundation has revealed its October 2025 programming, bringing horror, community, and celebration to the historic Eagle Theatre in Northeast Los Angeles. Known as one of the city’s most beloved hubs for film enthusiasts and creators, Vidiots continues its mission to preserve physical media, highlight underrepresented artists, and foster community engagement through cinema.

October’s slate includes genre classics, interactive events, and family-friendly programming:

• October 21 – Blood Rave + Blade: Vidiots teams with Monkeypaw Productions for a night of vampire action and nightclub mayhem.

• October 22 – Tales from the Crypt: Demon Knight: A 30th Anniversary screening with director Ernest Dickerson in attendance.

• October 25 – Gentle Halloween: A free, all-ages community event with trick-or-treating, pumpkin carving, film screenings, and a performance from the Bob Baker Marionette Theater.

• October 28 – Carrie: Brian De Palma’s classic gets a special pre-show drag performance by Jackie Beat.

Founded in 1985 as an alternative video store in Santa Monica, Vidiots has grown into a non-profit cultural foundation dedicated to keeping the communal spirit of cinema alive. After reopening in June 2023 at the Eagle Theatre, the venue now offers year-round screenings, educational programs, and one of the most diverse physical media collections in the country.
