Move over Mad Max. A new post-apocalyptic warrior is riding into town.

Well Go USA Entertainment has announced that Warriors of the Wasteland, an action-packed sci-fi adventure from director Nemanja Ćeranić, will debut on digital platforms July 7, with a Blu-ray and DVD release following exclusively through Amazon on September 8.

Set in a bleak future after a devastating nuclear catastrophe, Warriors of the Wasteland transports audiences to a lawless version of the West Balkans where bullets have become society's most valuable currency and survival is anything but guaranteed.

The film follows a mysterious blind fiddler who roams the wasteland singing tales of the "Grain People," a peaceful community of wheat growers refusing to surrender to the oppressive rule of a distant city.

When a young warrior's family is brutally slaughtered by a deranged warlord, he embarks on a violent quest for vengeance that will force him to confront radioactive cults, nightmarish hallucinations, and the collapse of civilization itself.

Armed with nothing more than a blade and his motorcycle, the lone hero becomes one of the final lines of defense for humanity's remaining survivors.

Directed by Nemanja Ćeranić (Loan Shark), the film stars Igor Benčina, Isidora Simijonović, Sergej Trifunović, Marta Bjelica, and Jovo Maksić.

Visually, Warriors of the Wasteland looks like it embraces classic post-apocalyptic influences while carving out its own identity. The combination of motorcycles, cults, desolate landscapes, and folklore-inspired storytelling gives the film a distinct flavor that separates it from more traditional dystopian action films.

There's also something refreshing about seeing a post-nuclear world set in the West Balkans rather than another familiar American wasteland.
