Well Go USA is doubling down on martial arts cinema—and doing it with style, heart, and legacy.
Well Go USA Entertainment has acquired North American rights to two high-energy Chinese kung fu films from Mandarin Motion Pictures: Panda Plan 2: The Magical Tribe and Kung Fu Juniors. The former is set to debut in select North American theaters on March 13, while Kung Fu Juniors will arrive on home entertainment later in 2026.
Martial arts icon Jackie Chan is back for more family-friendly chaos in Panda Plan 2: The Magical Tribe, directed by Derek Hui. Reuniting Chan with his adopted panda Hu Hu, the sequel builds on the playful energy of 2024’s Panda Plan while expanding the scope into a full-on fairy-tale adventure.
When Hu Hu is mistaken for a “divine beast” destined to save a hidden primitive tribe, Jackie finds himself protecting his furry companion while unraveling the secrets of a mystical land filled with quirky warriors and magical leaders. The film co-stars Li Ma and Shan Qiao, with action choreography by Lyu Shi-jia. Produced by Dora Long, the sequel leans into laughs, spectacle, and heart—perfectly timed for Chinese New Year audiences.
On the other end of the tonal spectrum sits Kung Fu Juniors, a coming-of-age martial arts drama starring kung fu legend Sammo Hung. Directed and produced by Clifton Ko, the film blends disciplined fight choreography with generational storytelling.
The story follows young Liang Ruicheng, torn between academic pressure from his parents and his grandfather’s devotion to kung fu. After a youth competition ends disastrously—costing the family a treasured jade heirloom—Ruicheng must reconnect with his roots and rediscover how martial arts shaped three generations of his family. It’s a grounded, emotional counterpoint to the bombast of Panda Plan 2, showcasing kung fu not just as spectacle, but as heritage.
“We’re thrilled to bring these exciting releases to North American audiences,” said Doris Pfardrescher, President and CEO of Well Go USA Entertainment. “Together, these films showcase the range and lasting appeal of martial arts cinema, a genre that has long been at the heart of Well Go’s identity and connection with audiences worldwide.”
From crowd-pleasing, all-ages action-comedy to heartfelt, tradition-rooted storytelling, Panda Plan 2: The Magical Tribe and Kung Fu Juniors represent two sides of the same coin—both powered by movement, legacy, and the enduring global love for kung fu.
Panda Plan 2: The Magical Tribe opens in theaters March 13.
Kung Fu Juniors lands on home entertainment later in 2026.
