The film was met with uproarious approval from festival crowds around the world, playing at Trieste Science+Fiction, Toronto After Dark, Austin Other Worlds, Rio Grind Vancouver, Cinepocalypse Chicago as well as the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival where up and coming O’Donnell was give the “Emerging Voice” Award. Uwais also has a history of working with XYZ Films, dating back to his star turn in the global success THE RAID franchise, as well as THE NIGHT COMES FOR US, and most recently he co-starred in XYZ’s science fiction actioner ASH, directed by Flying Lotus.
"Since we first met Iko Uwais, Matthew Chausse and I have been pushing to make a star vehicle for him like Warpath. Pairing him with the truly versatile action legend Scott Adkins, along with XYZ films, the company that started things off for us, has been a dream come true," said Liam O’Donnell.
