Halloween is back in a big way, and this year moviegoers are getting more than just costumes and candy. For the first time in over a decade, Halloween night lands on a Friday, and AMC Theatres is celebrating with a horror fan’s dream: a nationwide double feature of Hallow Road and Vincent Must Die, two critically acclaimed, Certified Fresh titles that have already earned their place as essential genre experiences. Even better, both films are included for the price of one ticket.
A tradition reborn
The double feature hasn’t been a mainstay in theaters since Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez rolled out Grindhouse back in 2007. AMC’s event revives a cinematic tradition born during the Great Depression, when theaters first lured audiences with two films for the price of one. From the 1950s through the 1970s, drive-ins used the format to deliver biker gangs, alien invasions, and slasher carnage that turned into cult discoveries for a generation of teenagers. Now, horror fans get the same thrill in a modern setting, with two of the year’s most talked-about films.
Hallow Road and Vincent Must Die
Paired together, the films offer audiences two different shades of terror. Hallow Road has drawn raves for its nerve-shredding tension and stark descent into roadside horror, while Vincent Must Die has already been called one of the year’s smartest, strangest takes on paranoia and violence. Seeing them back-to-back gives fans an unforgettable contrast: raw survival instinct on one side, existential dread on the other.
Fans get even more
The event doesn’t stop at the screen. Three lucky fans will win a Party Pack with four double-feature tickets redeemable at any participating AMC location. To enter, head to @XYZfilms on Instagram, comment “Halloween,” tag a friend, and keep an eye out for bonus entries if you share the post to your Story.

A night worth remembering
With Halloween on a Friday and AMC offering a historic double bill, this event isn’t just another release—it’s the Halloween horror event of the year. Grab your friends, hit the theater, and make sure you experience both Hallow Road and Vincent Must Die the way they were meant to be seen: back-to-back, in the dark, with an audience ready to scream.
