Bruce Wemple’s Supernatural Horror Capture
Heads to Digital Platforms March 17
Indie horror filmmaker Bruce Wemple is returning with another unsettling genre entry. His latest horror-thriller, Capture, will arrive on Digital and On Demand platforms March 17 from Uncork’d Entertainment.
Blending haunted-object horror with possession and supernatural suspense, Capture centers on a terrifying discovery tied to a mysterious camcorder that reveals far more than anyone should ever see.
The film stars Kaitlyn Lunardi (The North Witch), Cedric Gegel (The Haunted Forest), and Chris Cimperman (First Contact).
In the film, Abby inherits her parents’ long-abandoned home and begins sorting through the forgotten belongings left behind. Hidden among a collection of dusty videotapes, she discovers a thirty-year-old camcorder that appears to hold footage connected to her family’s past.
But as Abby begins reviewing the recordings, the discovery quickly turns into something far more sinister.
The footage reveals disturbing secrets surrounding her family—and an even more terrifying truth about the camera itself. Anyone captured on the camcorder doesn’t simply revisit the past.
They die.
What begins as a curious look into old memories spirals into a desperate race for survival as the supernatural force tied to the camera refuses to remain buried.
Wemple has become a familiar name in independent genre filmmaking, building a reputation for crafting atmospheric horror projects outside the traditional studio system. Known for combining practical effects, eerie locations, and escalating dread, he frequently collaborates with a tight-knit creative team across his productions.
His previous films include The Retreat, Monstrous, Dawn of the Beast, and The North Witch, several of which were also released through Uncork’d Entertainment.
Keith Leopard, President of Uncork’d Entertainment, praised the director’s latest effort, noting that Wemple has become “one of the most reliable voices in modern indie horror,” adding that Capture stands as one of the filmmaker’s most unsettling works yet.
Fans of supernatural horror and cursed-object thrillers will soon be able to experience the film for themselves when Capture arrives March 17 on Digital and On Demand platforms.
