“Get ready to meet the Carvers—a family that puts the ‘fun’ in dysfunction! Meat the Carvers slices into the horror-comedy scene soon.
From the creative minds at Cinema Dojo, Meat the Carvers is a bold new animated series that takes a darkly comedic spin on family life—with a supernatural twist. Created by Samson Cornette and Daniel Nation, the show follows the quirky and chaotic Carver family as they juggle everyday life with their bizarre, sometimes gruesome, inclinations.
At the head of the household is Delores Carver, a pyrokinetic witch brought to life by horror icon Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp, Victor Crowley). Her husband, Victor, a slasher villain in the style of Jason Voorhees, runs the family deli. Together, they try to maintain a sense of normalcy while dealing with their vampire son Damien, ghost daughter Eve, and Delores’s ever-loyal feline confidant, Lucius. Rounding out the family’s list of peculiar characters is Victor’s scheming puppet brother, Jack, who often adds more chaos than calm.
This eccentric blend of characters sets the tone for Meat the Carvers, as the family deals with everything from mob entanglements and cannibalistic meatballs to trippy journeys through classic horror films. The series expertly balances horror tropes, pop culture references, and laugh-out-loud moments, pushing the boundaries of animated storytelling.

In addition to the core cast, the show features impressive guest appearances. Sam Cornette voices multiple roles, while horror veterans Dave Sheridan (Scary Movie, The Devil’s Rejects) and Frank Dietz (Zombie Nightmare, Black Roses) lend their talents. Dietz’s character, Malachi Mysterium, is a nod to legendary horror host Zacherley. Fans of pop culture will also appreciate cameos from Jay and Matt of the Purple Stuff podcast, adding even more humor and nostalgia to the mix.
Creator Samson Cornette describes Meat the Carvers as “a love letter to the horror genre, served with a side of absurdity and a sprinkle of warped family values.” The show honors classic horror while injecting its own twisted sense of humor, making it a standout in the horror-comedy landscape.
Set to debut soon, Meat the Carvers promises a deliciously dark experience, blending supernatural antics with heart and hilarity. Whether you’re a fan of animated storytelling, horror, or just offbeat humor, this series is sure to carve out its place in your viewing lineup.
