‘Hope’ Sets Premium Early Access Screenings Nationwide Ahead of September 9 Release

NEON is giving audiences an early opportunity to see Na Hong-jin’s Hope on the biggest screens available, announcing a nationwide premium-format early access event for September 7, two days before the film’s theatrical release.

The special Hope Premium Early Access screenings will take place at 6:30 p.m. across 175 locations nationwide, including participating theaters in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco and Dallas.

Audiences will be able to see the film across six premium presentation formats, including Dolby, 4DX, ScreenX, Barco HDR, D-BOX and Dolby Atmos.

Hope marks the latest feature from Na Hong-jin, the South Korean filmmaker behind The Wailing and The Chaser. The new film has been positioned as one of NEON’s major genre releases of the year, with the premium screenings designed to highlight its large-scale action, set pieces and sound design ahead of its wider rollout.

The September event continues an early-access strategy previously used by NEON for Osgood Perkins’ The Monkey. Advance premium-format screenings helped build early word of mouth for that film before its theatrical run, which ultimately reached $40 million at the box office.

For Hope, NEON is expanding the approach across multiple premium formats and 175 locations, providing a significantly larger early-access footprint ahead of opening day.

The film stars Hwang Jung-min, Zo In-sung and Hoyeon alongside Taylor Russell, Cameron Britton, Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender.

Set in the remote South Korean community of Hope Harbor, the film begins after police are called to investigate reports of a mysterious creature wreaking havoc around the village. At the same time, local hunters head into the surrounding forest to track the threat, setting in motion events that expand beyond the initial investigation.

The early-access announcement arrives as Hope continues its rollout toward its September theatrical debut. The film is also set to make its North American premiere as part of TIFF’s Midnight Madness program before reaching theaters.

Tickets for the Hope Premium Early Access event are on sale now. Screenings will take place nationwide at 6:30 p.m. on September 7, followed by the film’s theatrical release on September 9. Purchase tickets HERE.
