Tickets Now on Sale for Obsession, Curry Barker’s Twisted Wish-Fueled Horror From Focus Features
A new high-concept horror entry is gearing up for release as Focus Features officially opens ticket sales for Obsession, the upcoming feature from Curry Barker. The film is set to hit theaters May 15, 2026.
Produced with involvement from Jason Blum, Obsession centers on a supernatural object known as the “One Wish Willow,” a device that grants desires—but at a cost. The film follows a young man who uses it to win over his crush, only to find that the outcome of his wish spirals into something far more dangerous than expected.
The premise draws from classic “monkey’s paw” storytelling, where the fulfillment of desire carries unintended consequences. Here, that concept is reframed through a modern lens, blending elements of teen romance with psychological and supernatural horror.
The cast includes Michael Johnston, Inde Navarrette, Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Andy Richter.
In addition to the theatrical rollout, the film’s marketing leans into its central concept with an in-universe promotional push around the One Wish Willow itself, including an infomercial-style campaign and a fictional hotline tied to the object’s “guaranteed results.”
With its mix of relationship-driven stakes and supernatural consequences, Obsession positions itself within a familiar horror framework while aiming to connect with a younger audience through its tone and premise.
Obsession opens in theaters May 15, with tickets now available.
