Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia returns to horror with Banquet, starring Meghann Fahy and Corey Mylchreest, now in production in the UK.

The table is set for terror. XYZ Films and Project Infinity have officially begun production on Banquet, the latest supernatural thriller from The Platform director Galder Gaztelu-Urrutia, now filming in the UK. The film stars The White Lotus standout Meghann Fahy, joined by newly announced cast members Corey Mylchreest, Alfie Williams, Finbar Lynch, and Olwen Fouéré.

Based on an original screenplay by Sam Steiner (Fingernails), Banquet promises to continue Gaztelu-Urrutia’s fascination with moral decay, power, and the grotesque side of human appetite — a spiritual successor in tone to his internationally acclaimed The Platform.

XYZ Films, known for its fearless genre slate, is producing alongside Teashop Productions (Obsession) and Project Infinity (May December, The Assessment). Production companies Magna Studios, Blue Morning Pictures, and Wychwood Media round out an international collaboration backed by a powerhouse list of producers, including Lewis Taylor, Maxime Cottray, Guy Danella, Leonara Darby, James Harris, and Grant S. Johnson. Executive producers David Yates (Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows), Florian Zeller (The Father), and Federica Sainte-Rose bring additional prestige to the project.

Rising star Corey Mylchreest — known for his breakout turn as King George III in Netflix’s Queen Charlotte — joins the ensemble following recent appearances in My Oxford Year and Hostage. Alfie Williams, who captivated audiences in 28 Years Later, continues his meteoric rise with The Bone Temple on the horizon. Veteran actor Finbar Lynch (Child 44, Suffragette) and celebrated Irish performer Olwen Fouéré (The Watchers, Mandy, The Northman) add gravitas to the already stacked lineup.

Described by insiders as a “psychological supernatural feast,” Banquet centers on the haunting collision of morality, control, and sacrifice — themes that echo throughout Gaztelu-Urrutia’s work. With production underway, anticipation builds for what could be one of the most unnerving and artistically daring horror releases of 2026.

Banquet is co-financed by Project Infinity and XYZ Films, with global sales handled by XYZ at AFM. U.S. rights are being co-repped by CAA Media Finance and WME Independent.
