Halloween Horror Nights Brings Evil Dead Burn to Life in All-New Haunted Houses at Universal Orlando and Hollywood
The Book of the Dead is opening once again.
Universal Studios has announced that Evil Dead Burn, the newly released sixth installment in the legendary Evil Dead franchise, will receive its own haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights 2026. The experience debuts August 28 at Universal Orlando Resort and September 3 at Universal Studios Hollywood, bringing guests face-to-face with the latest generation of Deadites.
Since Sam Raimi’s original The Evil Dead premiered in 1981, the franchise has become one of horror’s most enduring properties, combining relentless supernatural terror with over-the-top gore and its signature dark sense of humor. At the center of every nightmare is the infamous Book of the Dead, whose cursed pages unleash demonic forces capable of possessing anyone unfortunate enough to cross their path.
This year’s haunted house is inspired by New Line Cinema’s Evil Dead Burn and recreates the film’s most terrifying locations and encounters. Guests will begin their journey at the secluded vacation home of the Price family before descending deeper into a nightmare where Deadites lurk around every corner. As the evil spreads, visitors will experience some of the film’s most horrifying moments while trying to survive the relentless supernatural onslaught.

Universal is also expanding the experience beyond the haunted house with a new line of limited-edition Evil Dead Burn merchandise. The collection includes an exclusive T-shirt, hat, and a collectible acrylic figure designed for this year’s infernal carnival display. The merchandise becomes available at both Universal parks beginning July 21, with additional items scheduled to arrive later in the Halloween Horror Nights season.
For fans planning multiple visits, Universal Orlando has also released its lineup of Frequent Fear Passes, including Rush of Fear, Frequent Fear, Frequent Fear Plus, and Ultimate Frequent Fear options. Guests can also purchase the enhanced Scream Early add-on, allowing admission to Universal Studios Florida beginning at 2 p.m. and early access to select haunted houses before the event officially begins.
Annual and Seasonal Passholders can receive discounts on select event nights during August and September, while Premier Passholders receive one complimentary Halloween Horror Nights admission, subject to reservation availability.
Universal Studios Hollywood is offering several ticket options, including General Admission, Universal Express, R.I.P. Tour, Day/Night, After 2 P.M. Day/Night, and the popular Early Access Ticket, which grants entry to select haunted houses beginning at 5:30 p.m. Frequent Fear Passes also return for guests looking to experience the event multiple times throughout the season.
Halloween Horror Nights will run on select nights from August 28 through November 1 in Orlando and September 3 through November 1 in Hollywood. Universal says additional haunted houses, scare zones, and event offerings will be announced in the coming weeks.
With Evil Dead Burn joining this year’s lineup, horror fans can expect another brutal trip into one of the genre’s bloodiest and most beloved franchises, where surviving the night is never guaranteed.

I have been reading through a site called Continental Design at https://continental-design.com/ and honestly their latest guide caught my attention in a way I did not expect. It is a deep dive into what it actually takes to design an online casino game, using Boom City as a practical example. The article goes beyond surface level code and covers the psychology of player engagement, retention mechanics, and the strategic choices that make a game both fun and profitable. What I found interesting is that the principles they discuss could easily apply to other types of game design as well. If you are a game developer or just curious about how these games are built, this is a solid read. Give…
