Made By Spooky will develop horror projects across short-form, vertical serialized and long-form formats with a focus on digital-native creators.

Image Nation Studios, Spooky Pictures and Made By Us Studios are expanding their genre operations with Made By Spooky, a new horror label designed to develop projects around digital-native creators.

The companies have partnered to launch the creator-focused label with plans to produce original short-form projects, serialized vertical content and long-form intellectual property. The first Made By Spooky projects are expected to debut in 2027.

The initiative arrives as filmmakers who established audiences through platforms including YouTube and TikTok increasingly move into traditional film and television development.

Recent horror projects have helped accelerate that crossover. Curry Barker moved from online filmmaking into features with Obsession, while Kane Parsons’ viral Backrooms videos led to an A24 feature adaptation. Spooky Pictures is also working with Barker on his upcoming Focus Features horror comedy Anything But Ghosts.

Made By Spooky is intended to create another development route for creators working in that space, bringing digital talent into an established horror production infrastructure.

Projects developed through the label will become part of the existing co-production partnership between Image Nation Studios and Spooky Pictures.

That partnership currently includes several genre projects spanning established franchises and original films. Among them are V/H/S/Mixtape, the music-driven anthology that premiered at Beyond Fest before arriving on Shudder this month, and V/H/S: SCP, an upcoming A24 project drawing inspiration from the online collaborative fiction phenomenon SCP Foundation.

The companies are also involved with A24’s developing Texas Chainsaw Massacre film and television projects, Barker’s Anything But Ghosts and Casey Affleck’s gothic mystery Company, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival this year.

Image Nation Studios’ Ben Ross and Spooky Pictures’ Steven Schneider said the new label builds on the companies’ efforts to identify emerging genre filmmakers.

“Backing new voices within the horror genre has always been central to what we do, and we’re committed to finding creative ways to champion fresh talent,” Ross and Schneider said in a joint statement.

The pair pointed specifically toward the growing influence of online creators on contemporary horror and described Made By Spooky as a way of creating a more direct path between those filmmakers and wider audiences.

Image Nation and Spooky Pictures have worked together since 2020. Their first project under a multi-picture slate agreement was Chloe Okuno’s Watcher. Subsequent collaborations have included Colin and Cameron Cairnes’ Late Night with the Devil, Damian McCarthy’s Hokum and Charlie Polinger’s The Plague.

Made By Us brings an existing creator-focused infrastructure to the new venture.

Founded by Leanne Perice, the company added former Range partner and WME agent Tanya Cohen as co-CEO in May. Its talent roster includes Adam W, Hannah Stocking, Josh Peck and Devon Rodriguez.

“At Made By Us, we see some of horror’s most original voices emerging on YouTube, TikTok and Meta,” Cohen said. “Made By Spooky gives them the backing and genre expertise to turn bold ideas into stories that travel.”

The company has already been expanding into creator-led production through several partnerships. Earlier this year, Made By Us entered an exclusive multi-year agreement with Dentsu Entertainment covering the development, production and distribution of original creator-driven entertainment.

Made By Us Studios has also partnered with TikTok to co-produce a slate of vertical micro-series.

One of the first projects from that agreement is The Knock, a genre micro-series created and directed by R.H. Stavis. Spooky Pictures executive produces the project in collaboration with Moby’s Little Walnut Productions.

Made By Spooky now extends that strategy specifically into horror, with the label positioned to develop projects across multiple formats rather than limiting its creators to social platforms or conventional feature filmmaking.

The first titles from Made By Spooky are scheduled to debut in 2027.
