Back in Japan, Akemi and Taigen will navigate Edo Castle under the rule of a dangerous new Shogun while Ringo searches for a new purpose.
A release date has not yet been announced.
The Ribbon Hero Arrives August 8, 2026

One of the biggest reveals was the trailer debut for The Ribbon Hero, inspired by Osamu Tezuka's beloved Princess Knight.

The Ribbon Hero premieres August 8, 2026.
Fool Night Brings a Dystopian Future to Life
Netflix also announced Fool Night, an adaptation of Kasumi Yasuda's manga and a collaboration between legendary studios Sunrise and Shaft.
Set in a future where sunlight has disappeared and oxygen is scarce, humanity survives through a process called Transfloration, which transforms dying humans into plants.

The series is scheduled to debut in 2026.
Sparks of Tomorrow Arrives July 5

Bass X Machina Heads Into a Steampunk Nightmare

Netflix also unveiled Bass X Machina, a new animated series from creator LeSean Thomas and executive producer Brian Tyree Henry.
