Nicolas Winding Refn's Her Private Hell Unveils First Teaser Poster Ahead of Trailer Release
NEON has released the first teaser poster for Her Private Hell, the upcoming feature from filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, with the film set to arrive exclusively in theaters on July 24.
The newly revealed artwork showcases the film's neon-soaked aesthetic, featuring a striking blend of deep blues and purples while highlighting stars Sophie Thatcher and Charles Melton. The poster arrives one day before the debut of the film's first official trailer.
According to the official synopsis, Her Private Hell takes place in a futuristic metropolis consumed by a mysterious mist that unleashes a deadly and elusive entity.
The story follows a troubled young woman searching for her missing father. Along the way, her journey intersects with an American G.I. undertaking a desperate mission of his own to rescue his daughter from hell. Their paths converge in what is described as a harrowing odyssey through a city transformed by an otherworldly threat.
The film features an ensemble cast that includes Sophie Thatcher (Companion, Yellowjackets), Charles Melton (May December), Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms), Christine Forseth, Shia Li Kutsuna, Aoi Yamada, Dougray Scott, Diego Calva, and Hidetoshi Nishijima.
Refn directs the film from a screenplay he co-wrote with Esti Giordani.
Known for visually distinctive projects such as Drive, Only God Forgives, and The Neon Demon, Refn returns with what appears to be another stylized genre entry that blends science fiction, mystery, and horror elements against a futuristic backdrop.
While plot details remain limited, the teaser poster establishes the film's atmosphere and introduces the central mystery ahead of tomorrow's trailer launch.
Her Private Hell opens exclusively in theaters on July 24.
