Rhea Seehorn Joins Taylor Kitsch in Texas-Set Thriller
Eleven Days
The Western-tinged thrillers just keep heating up, and the latest casting news makes this one even hotter. Rhea Seehorn (Better Call Saul) has joined the ensemble of Eleven Days, a tense indie hostage thriller starring Taylor Kitsch, Diego Luna, and Jason Isaacs.
Directed by Peter Landesman (Concussion), the film is set during the sweltering Texas summer of 1974 when ruthless prisoner Federico Carrasco (Luna) seizes control of the Huntsville Penitentiary. The standoff escalates into one of the most infamous sieges in U.S. prison history.
Father Joseph O’Brien (Isaacs), the prison’s priest, partners with Jim Estelle (Kitsch), head of the Texas Department of Corrections, to outmaneuver Carrasco. Together, they step into the eye of the storm—offering themselves as hostages in a desperate attempt to save the lives of others trapped inside.
Written by Kevin Sheridan, with revisions from Landesman, Eleven Days is adapted from William T. Harper’s nonfiction book Eleven Days in Hell: The 1974 Carrasco Prison Siege at Huntsville, Texas. Vincent Newman and Vance Howard will produce, with filming set to begin in Texas this September.
Seehorn, fresh off her Emmy-nominated run on Better Call Saul, will next be seen reuniting with series creator Vince Gilligan in the Apple series Pluribus, premiering this fall.
