Scream 7 Trailer: Kevin Williamson Returns to Rewrite the Rules of Horror Once Again

Paramount Pictures and Spyglass Media Group have finally done it — they’ve brought Kevin Williamson back to the director’s chair for Scream 7, and if the brand-new trailer is any indication, this is going to be the bloodiest, most emotional entry yet.

The trailer — which just dropped this morning — signals a full-circle moment for the franchise that changed modern horror. Williamson, who wrote the original Scream screenplay nearly 30 years ago, returns to write and direct this new installment alongside Guy Busick, promising a brutal, legacy-shattering conclusion for Sidney Prescott and her family.

And yes, Neve Campbell is officially back.

HELLO, SIDNEY. DID YOU MISS ME?

The trailer opens with an unnerving sense of familiarity — quiet suburban streets, a ringing phone, and the echo of that infamous question. But this time, Ghostface isn’t just stalking the next generation — he’s coming for the past.

Sidney Prescott has built a new life in a small, seemingly safe town. But when a new Ghostface killer emerges, the nightmare begins again — and this time, Sidney’s daughter (Isabel May) is the target. What follows is a chilling descent into vengeance, trauma, and legacy as Sidney must once again confront her darkest fears and finish what began in Woodsboro.

The film’s official synopsis reads:

When a new Ghostface killer emerges in the quiet town where Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) has built a new life, her darkest fears are realized as her daughter (Isabel May) becomes the next target. Determined to protect her family, Sidney must face the horrors of her past to put an end to the bloodshed once and for all.

A Cast That Cuts Deep

The returning survivors — Courteney Cox, Jasmin Savoy Brown, and Mason Gooding — are joined by an impressive ensemble that includes Anna Camp, Joel McHale, Mckenna Grace, Michelle Randolph, Jimmy Tatro, Asa Germann, Celeste O’Connor, Sam Rechner, Ethan Embry, Tim Simons, and Mark Consuelos.

The film also reunites William Sherak, James Vanderbilt, and Paul Neinstein as producers, rounding out a creative team that feels both nostalgic and revitalized.

“Burn It All Down”

From the look of the footage, Scream 7 isn’t here to play nice. Ghostface looks more vicious than ever, the kills are inventive and cruel, and the tone feels closer to the franchise’s 1996 roots than its recent sequels.

This time, the mask isn’t just a symbol — it’s a reckoning.

And based on the trailer’s final shot — a blood-stained Sidney answering a familiar phone call — Scream 7 may be the end of one era… and the rebirth of another.

“This isn’t about survival anymore,” Sidney says in the trailer. “It’s about ending it.”

The Escort in Lajpat Nagar is well aware of how to give you the best. The girl that I got was stunning, nicely dressed, and seemed to have an indefinable charm. What I liked the most was that everything was done very discreetly. Looking forward to booking again.
