UK Spotlight: Voidance Trailer Drops Ahead of Sci-Fi London Premiere and Digital Release

A new time-loop thriller is heading to UK screens as Voidance unveils its latest trailer ahead of its European premiere at the Sci-Fi-London Film Festival, where it will close the festival on May 17.

Directed by Marianna Dean (Breaking Infinity), Voidance follows Alana Toro, a trainee agent undergoing her final assessment. Placed inside a simulated space station bar, she must prevent a terrorist attack before it happens.

There’s a catch.

Each failed attempt resets the scenario, placing Alana back at the beginning with limited opportunities to get it right. As the loop continues, new variables emerge—forcing her to reassess who can be trusted and where the real threat lies.

The film leans into a contained setting, using repetition and shifting perspectives to build tension. Rather than expanding outward, the narrative tightens with each loop, focusing on decision-making, perception, and consequence.

The cast includes James Cosmo (Game of Thrones, Braveheart), Zoe Cunningham, Neil Bishop, Mim Shaikh, Billy Price, and Chris Charles.

Beyond its structure, Voidance also positions itself within a broader sci-fi framework—exploring themes of authority, trust, and the complexity of identifying threats in systems built on control. The film uses its looping mechanic not just as a narrative device, but as a way to challenge assumptions and force adaptation.

Following its festival premiere, Voidance will roll out across digital platforms:

* UK & Ireland: May 25

* US & Canada: May 26

* Australia & New Zealand: May 27

The film arrives as part of a growing wave of sci-fi thrillers using contained environments and time-loop structures to explore larger questions around power and perception.
